The property owner came to us for the repair of the existing arched lighting. The intention is still that the Foodstrip continues to attract attention and, therefore, that it attracts people from the adjacent A1 motorway.
After having set up a test version, the customer decided to use a new dynamic concept. 21,000 Philips MX RGB LED pixels were installed that can each be controlled individually. A strip was also developed for the project where 72 pixels were installed instead of 50. This ensured that the pixel distance on the strip was made smaller and that the process of the light applications was optimised.
The Foodstrip, the fast food strip on the A2 motorway near Amsterdam, has been given a dynamic look and feel thanks to the new light system and is attracting people in even higher numbers.
